well, i don’t know about you, but i have been ready for summer since last summer ended.  it brings such sweet joy to my heart to think of the approaching summer days!  so when our featured artist, DC Bowers, hailing all the way from the english countryside, suggested that our next challenge theme be SUMMER, i said hell to the yes dale!  but before we reveal our summery masterpieces, let me introduce you a little bit more to dale.

i first came across dale’s art a few months ago when i saw this:

not only have i been in love with good old steve zissou for years, but the style in which dc bowers portrays this wondrous character only makes me love him more.  after perusing more of his illustrations, i came to realize that his style is much to my liking, and apparently many others, as he has just recently had this illustration made available in urban outfitters print shop:
